It is highly unlikely that you will never find spiders in your home. Spiders often seek shelter inside of houses due to their attraction to moisture, food, and warmth. But how can you limit the number of these unwanted guests?

Spiders love dusty, dark, and cluttered spaces. This is where they like to form their webs and lay eggs. So it is very important to keep your home clean and tidy. Dust and vacuum regularly. Get high and low corners of your rooms, as well as underneath furniture. Keep things neat so they do not have spaces to hide, and you can easily spot where they might be making webs.

In the kitchen, do not leave dirty dishes out, and take out your trash on a regular basis. This will cut down on other insects being attracted in, which will attract spiders to them.

Check that the screens on your windows and doors do not have holes and tears. It’s recommended that deterrents like peppermint oil, vinegar, or citrus scents can be used around your home to keep spiders away.
